More Helpful Hints For Coaches

Approach the parents with self-confidence from DAY ONE! Through example let them know that you are in charge at practice and at games. Involve them if possible by always letting them know what is going on (Ex. introduce yourself at the first practice if possible and/or send a note home with players stating your plans for practices and some things they can do at home to help their child prepare for games) and by having them organize half-time snacks.

NOTE: Half-time snacks should consist of fruit (such as apple or orange slices, grapes, or bananas) and water. Save juice and sugary snacks for after the game if parents want to provide them.

* If, for some reason,  you have a child on your roster that has not paid, the parent should be made aware that the child will not receive a team shirt or participate in a game until the fees are paid  The board works to make sure this doesn't occur, but will help you deal with it, should it be come an issue.*

**Important!! Due to increasing insurance regulations, we cannot allow any children who are not on your team roster, even if they are on another team within the league, to participate in your practices!!  Please do not allow relatives or friends to "join in" during your practices!! **
