IMAC internet setup for Redbird
Locate the 'Assistants' folder on your hard drive, open it, and double-click on
the Internet Setup Assistant icon
Click YES to "Would you like to set up iMac to use the internet?"
Click Yes to "Do you already have an internet account?"
Click the right arrow button to continue.
Type Redbird for the name of the connection then click the right arrow to continue.
Type in 419-947-6707 for the phone number to dial. Type in your username and your
password then click the right arrow to continue. (Note the password is case sensitive.
Type it exactly as it appears on your user sheet.)
Select NO to "Does your ISP require a connect script when you log in?" then
click the right arrow.
Select NO to "Is there an IP address for this configuration?"
Type in the DNS servers in the box, leave the domain name box blank, then click the
right arrow to continue. The DNS servers are:
208.10.192.4
208.10.192.5
Type in your email address in the first box, your password in the second box, then
click the right arrow to continue.
Type in your username (without the @redbird.net) in the first box. Type in
mail.redbird.net in the second box, then click the right arrow to continue.
Type in news.redbird.net for the newsgroup host then click the right arrow to continue.
Click NO to "Do you use proxy servers for internet connections?" then click
the right arrow to continue.
Click GO AHEAD to finish your setup and dial up to the internet. |
